What is oaDOI document URL redirect or oaDOI Resolver?

oaDOI document URL redirect, also called oaDOI Resolver, is a Web service that redirects you to the Website of the OA (Open Access) version of the document for a given DOI.

The primary provider of oaDOI document URL redirect service is https://oadoi.org.

You can compose a new URL by appending the DOI string to the end of https://oadoi.org/, for example https://oadoi.org/10.1038/nature12373. Then enter this URL in the address field of Web browser. You will be redirected to the Website of the OA version for the given DOI.

So for a single DOI string, we have 2 resolvers:

• DOI Resolver: https://doi.org/{doi} - Redirects you to the official Website of the document, for example https://doi.org/10.1038/nature12373
• oaDOI Resolver: https://oadoi.org/{doi} - Redirects you to the Website of the OA (Open Access) version of the document, for example https://oadoi.org/10.1038/nature12373.
